I am thrilled to share some outstanding news about the academic performance of our students at Avenue City School District. The spring of 2024 assessments demonstrate that our test scores not only met but exceeded state averages for Missouri—a testament to the dedication and resilience of our students and staff.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that it was accomplished during a year when our school was undergoing significant construction. Despite the noise, disruptions, and temporary adjustments, our teachers maintained their unwavering commitment to high-quality instruction, and our students showed incredible focus and determination.
This success is not just an individual accomplishment but a result of the combined efforts of our entire team. From teachers and staff to parents, guardians, and community members, everyone worked together to ensure our students could succeed. This spirit of collaboration and support is a cornerstone of our district’s culture.
In the next few weeks, the community will receive information regarding the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Annual Performance Report. This report will include additional data and is often considered the "District's Report Card." When this information becomes available, we will share it with all stakeholders.
