District's Goals
AVENUE CITY R-IX SCHOOL DISTRICT GOALS
District Goal #1: The district will continue to focus on student achievement and work to ensure increased performance on local, state, and national assessments.
District Goal #2: The district will continue to emphasize improvements in English Language Arts and Math as we strive to have each student’s math and literacy skills at or above grade level.
District Goal #3: District facilities will provide a safe and positive learning environment.
District Goal #4: The district will continue to update technology, strive to integrate the use of technology to improve instruction, align to Missouri Learning Standards, and model for students the appropriate use of technology
District Goal #5: The district will continue to monitor the state’s ever changing expectations in regards to learning standards and will determine the appropriate alignment with the local curriculum and activities.

COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT GOALS / BENCHMARKS
In order to accomplish District Goals listed above - the following CSIP Goals / Benchmarks will be incorporated.

All curricular areas will be aligned externally to all Missouri Learning Standards and internally between grade levels.

All students will show adequate progress in the areas of Mathematics and English Language Arts as measured by grade-level benchmark assessments.

The district will deliberately allocate both fiscal and non-fiscal resources to align parameters to guide the development and completion of a building addition.

Staff and students will share in the responsibility of academic achievement by being actively engaged in learning and demonstrating appropriate standards of attendance.

Instructional staff will work with district-based collaborative teams to analyze student data and to provide appropriate data-driven interventions for students’ instructional and behavioral needs.

Students will demonstrate collaboration, leadership, and communication skills through participation in curricular, co-curricular, and community based activities.
The district goals have been reviewed by the Board of Education on an annual basis since 2002. The latest review of district goals occurred in August of 2024.
